Not at all! Our academy welcomes beginners through to advanced students. Classes are structured so everyone can learn at their own pace, with guidance tailored to your experience level.

For your first class, comfortable gym clothes such as a t-shirt and shorts or leggings are fine. Once you decide to continue training, you’ll need a BJJ gi (uniform), which we can help you organise.

Yes. While BJJ is a contact sport, safety is always our priority. Our instructors emphasise controlled training, mutual respect, and proper technique to reduce the risk of injury. Students are encouraged to communicate with their training partners and train at a pace that suits them.

Absolutely. We have specialised programs for kids, juniors and teens that focus on building confidence, discipline, and fitness in a supportive environment. BJJ is a great way for children to develop coordination, resilience, and respect for others.

No special level of fitness is required. Many people begin BJJ as a way to improve their fitness, flexibility, and strength over time. Training regularly will naturally improve your physical condition.

We recommend two to three times per week for steady progress, but you can attend more or less depending on your schedule. Consistency is more important than volume, especially for beginners.
